NCGA MASTERS AT SPYGLASS HILL

114 players players tee off at Spyglass Hill today in near perfect conditions.  I’ve never seen the course play easier, especially from the gold tee’s playing just over 6500 yards. I must admit I have not worked on my game much over the past 2 months and it’s showing in my short game. I rarely  have a three putt in a round of golf with my side-saddle putting technique, but today I suffered 4 3 putts, and sadly ended each nine with a 3 putt after having only 9 iron into both 9 and 18. The course is in Great shape and there were some good scores today with Jeff Hoffman firing a 69 and NCGA Senior Player of the Year Jim Knoll right behind him with a -2 70. Joining these two great players in the final pairing tomorrow will be myself and Jamie Looper after we finished with even par 72. The tournament moves to Poppy Hills tomorrow to conclude the event. Reiner (my caddy) and I will be heading to the San Jose airport right after the round to fly off the El Paso Texas to get to New Mexico for the 18 hole US Senior Open qualifier on Thursday. Stay tuned for results and comments of all the upcoming events
