The Carr Mara uses a Stableford method of scoring where each net par receives 2 points, net bogey 1 point, double bogey or higher 0 points, then a net birdie gets 3 points and an eagle 5 points. It’s a fun system that allows a player to scoop it up after a net double bogey (which many were made under these extreme conditions). The event now moves to The Olympic Club in 2013 a year after the 2012 US Open is hosted at Olympic. I figure all of these clubs will have tremendous interest in coming west to the OC to play our famed Lake course a year after a new Open champion is crowned!

These are a few of the shots provided to me by County Sligo- Quite a beautiful spot in Rosses Point!!

One of these players beat Tiger Woods in the Walker Cup, and one of these players is the son of golf icon Joe Carr (he can play as well) can you name these two players?

Stay tuned for US Mid Amateur coming next from Shadow Hawk Golf Club outside of Houston Texas.
